In conversation re: my DH, we asked the Onc a few questions....such as 'when does the quality start to kick in'..........Now, I don't blame her as we asked. So hard to hear that this is the best it is going to get....knowing that it hasn't gotten one bit better since his first treatment. Quality and Quanity..........that's what we were told the chemo was supposed to do....(re-written to say, 'that is what was hoped the chemo would do') In a private conversation with the PA later that day.......bless her heart, I just love this lady............when asked, she very gently but honestly told me that the next Scan will tell more, but he 'might' see Thanksgiving this year. Oh my...........I knew it, but now I know it. I realize she is not the one to make the decision on when his time has come, but again she works with PC everyday. Am I strong enough to handle what's to come????
