I wrote briefly last week about her, she had a PET Scan a couple of weeks age which showed a lymph node behing the top of the pancreas. Anyway she was admitted to the hospital on Saturday with severe pain, after all kinds of tests, they decided to try and do an endoscopic biopsy. The dr told us told that the lymph behind the pancreas is about the size of a half dollar but not possible to biopsy because of dangerous situation, he also stated that she has a mass on the tail of the pancreas 4.5 x 4.5 cm, he was able to get a needle biopsy, however, we still do not have any results. Since saturday she has received platelets twice her original count was 20,000 now she's at 51,000, but today they said her red blood cell count is low and they are giving her 2 bags of blood. She started running a low grade fever. She is finally eating again, solid foods now that they seem to have the pain under control. About how long should it take to get the path report back? Her dr is going on vacation next week and told her she would contact her in about two weeks. Any info would be great.
