I am the original poster. Thanks to all of you. I see that there are 2 sides and 2 ways of looking at this. Although all the advice was great and very much appreciated, I am inclined to hold off a little until I feel less hurt and angry, and maybe talk to her in the future at some point. I don't believe in excuses for something as serious as this. I am a very low maintenance friend and person, but this just pushed the envelope a little too far. To completely forgive might be possible, but I won't forget. I will end up being friends with her when I'm ready, but it will probably never be the same. She did not come through at a time I needed her the most. What are friends for then? Thanks again to all of you. There were some interesting comments and perspectives shared.
