The appt. went OK. Charlie asked for the MRI. The onc. refused....stating he would prefer to have a CT scan to compare to last year's. He also stated he would probably stretch out the scans or stop them altogether in the future at this point (5 years). I'm thinking about that one... We do have the CA19-9 to follow, and we can have the marker run by the PCP at any time.

I have to give this one more thought....but I am leaning towards the oncologist's thought process. I'm thinking if there were a recurrance, from what I have learned here it will likely show by a rise in the marker before ever seen on a CT Scan.

I think I will have Charlie discuss this with his PCP.

Anyway, he will have a CT Scan at the end of August.

Good thoughts and prayers to all,

Pat
