I don't know about others. I was in very good health, no health problems at all except for 3 bouts of acute pancreatitis in 3 months. Which lead to the diagnosis of IPMN. It wasn't until my pathology came back that we found out I had acinar cell carcinoma T1 N0 M0. I had a tough recovery, just unforseen complications. Once I turned the corner I recovered fairly fast. I had follow-up chemo and tolerated it well. I'm coming up on a year, so I am nervous for my follow-up next week. But I feel great and am thinking positive that all will be just fine. Hope this helps, I'll be praying hard on the 8th that the surgery will be smooth and trouble free.
