Other things beside cancer can cause an increase in the CA-19-9 such as an infection. If we see a steady climb then we raise an eye brow. Your dads doctor sounds like he is on the ball. He is doing the right thing to re do the markers and if there is still an increase then more scans. Let us know please. I will remember your dad in prayer. Hugs
