FOR THE LAST 18 M0NTHS MY CEA AND CA19-9 HAVE BEEN RISING. IN JAN MY CEA WAS 50 AND NOW 246. MY CA19=9 WAS 146 AND NOW 1790. HAVE HAD PET SCANS, CAT SCANS, MRI 2 BIOPSIES AND ERCP. DID ANOTHER CAT SCAN WITH CONTRAST AND FOUND THAT A SPOT THEY HAVE BIOPSIED IN COMMON BILIARY DUCT AND HAS BEEN BENIGN NOW HAS A LARGER HYPODENSITY BEHIND IT. NOTHING IN LYMPH NODES, GALL BLADDER OR PANCREAS. NURSE REFERRED TO IT AS AN ABDOMINAL MASS. SEE GASTRO SPECIALIST ON TUES FOR FURTHER EVELUATION. MY INTERNIST THINKS HE WILL SEND ME TO A SURGEON TO HAVE ANOTHER BIOPSY AND POSSIBLE REMOVAL OF TUMOR - THIS TIME LAPROSCOPICALLY OR ABDOMINALLY. SHOULD I BE WORRIED?
