Our mother Luda was born (Lyudmila ('Luda' for short) Kraizman in the town of Zhitomir, Ukraine, on 2/17/1951. Her parents were Shema Kraizman and Hannah Yankovskaya. She finished high school in Zhitomir, earning a silver medal at graduation, and went on to enter the Zhitomir Pedagogical Institute, where she earned a Bachelors degree in teaching of Foreign Languages - and received the highest honor of a Red Diploma upon graduation. She went on to teach English to primary and secondary schoolchildren. In 1971 she married our father, Mikhail Ingerman. He served in the military and together they moved wherever he was called for duty, living in Ivano-Frankovsk (Ukraine), Vinnitsa (Ukraine) and later in Tynda (Russia). Luda's accomplishments during that time included earning the highest honors of excellence in teaching (the title of 'zasluzhennyj uchitel''). In late 1994, our entire family moved from Russia to Miami, FL where our mother's sister (Galina) lives. A few months later we moved to the Seattle area where our father was able to pursue trade business opportunities. Luda then went on to her second career as a home mortgage professional, where her intelligence, patience and attention to detail brought her success and respect of her coworkers and clients alike. Luda also worked at B’nai Torah Sunday school (along with her daughter Elana) where she was teaching first grade. On March 2, 2000 our father passed away after a short battle with leukemia, he was only 54 years old. Luda was devastated by this loss but was able to continue with her life. In 2002 she met Mark Zamberg who became her partner. They have been happy together since that time, living in their home in Bothell, WA. Luda was the most devoted and kind mother to her children. Her childrens' priorities and lives were the essence of her life and her grandchild Miles was the true love of her life. In August, 2008 Luda was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. With the support of her family and friends she went through several chemotherapy and radiation treatment as well as an attemptive curative surgery. Unfortunately, the spread of her cancer could not be stopped, and she passed away at 6:25 PM on Saturday May 2nd at Virginia Mason hospital in Seattle, surrounded by her family. Our loss is beyond comprehension, we can't imagine our lives without her presence, kindness and warmth. She will be missed terribly and always live in our hearts. Luda is survived by: - Partner Mikhail ('Mark') Zamberg - Her older sister, Galina who came from Miami, FL to share her last living moments - Daughter Elana Shvets (35), her husband Yuriy Shvets and their son Miles (5) who lives in Bothell, WA - Son Alex Ingerman (28) who lives in Seattle, WA
