My 82 year old mother who lives in Birmingham, AL was just diagnosed with biliary cancer. The tumor was initially blocking the bile duct and the duodenum, but she recently had two stents put in place to bypass the blockages. I'm concerned with her age and the affect that chemo and radiation (proposed treatment)will have on her. Outside of surgery, which the doctors are not recommending, is chemo and radiation her only options or are there others I should be looking at? Thanks
