My FIL is now a week after his whipple surgery. It took us a little struggle but we made it there. Ted was dx in early Feb. after becomeing jaundice due to the tumor being close to his artery and bile duct, blocking it. He is being treated at MD Anderson. Their protocal is chemo and radiation before surgery. This allows the tumor to become smaller and easier to remove. He also had some spots on his liver, but exploritory surgery and biopsy during the first 4 1/2 hours of his whipple cleared the cancer call. He is now recovering "cancer free". It was a long surgery but he didn't even go into ICU afterwards. There is hope out there! Hang in there! My thoughts are with you. I know you are scared, but you have come to the right place for support and answers. So many people have given us knowlege and support. Cyndi
