My husband was diagnosed with PC after having a stroke 9/13/99. He had no symptoms before that. It had already met to both lungs and the liver. They put a stent in the bile duct, and he has been on Gemzar since 10/99. Last week it was determined that the PC had met to his right clavicle and a couple of ribs. He can barely move his right arm, which isn't good since his left arm is weak from the stroke. They just changed his chemo from Gemzar to 5-FU, Mitomycin-C, and Streptozocin. We also have an appointment with a radiation oncologist on Monday. The oncology nurse we talked to was very upbeat about "clearing up" the cancer on the bones. I was supprised to see several people mention mets to the bone since all the literature I've read only talks about it going to organs surronding the pancrease. What side affects has your husband seen from the radiation?
