An enlarged portion of Pancreas can possibly be an indication of cancer but not always. In my Mother's case, the first indication there was a problem (other than the symptoms) was enlarged bile and pancreatic ducts that showed up on a CT Scan. They thought it might be pancreatitis but serum amylase level was normal. So instead of looking for an answer to the enlargement, they ignored it for a YEAR! So if your CT Scan comes back not indicating cancer, press them to find out what is causing the enlargement. Dont let the doctors ignore it. I'm not trying to scare you. It could very well be a problem easily corrected, and I hope it is. Just be sure to press the doctors to find the cause of the enlargement if it isnt immediately evident from the CT.Best of luck. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
