I've read on this board that once you make it to 5 years, your odds are the same as someone who has never had pancreatic cancer. I've also heard this about 7 years. I'm not sure that's true but your odds sure are better now!

Also, my doctor has Johns Hopkins has told me a couple of time that the further out you are before metastasis, the less aggressive your particular cancer is. So someone who goes 6 months post-Whipple before metastasis has a less aggressive cancer then someone who goes 3 years post-Whipple before metastasis. - Jill
