I could not have the whipple, but did have radiation. It about 2 months after the whipple attempt for 5 1/2 weeks. When I had a follow up mtg with the doctor 6 months later, he told me there is always the option down the road for more radiation to differnt spots..... so I would say it is worth checking into.
