hi, I posted about a week ago regarding a pleural effusion, but got no response - and there is so much chattering on this board! I thought maybe because I didn't provide enough details. We have had a catheter installed but continue to drain almost 600 ml every two days. It seems like a lot of fluid and we are concerned, how long can someone keep this up? We have taken a break from chemo after the last one was not working, Gemzar+Xeloda, but we want to try perhaps Tarceva to see if that can help. Can anyone share their experiences at a similar stage and let us know what to expect and what we can do to make the situation better?
