On the one hand, it does really take a specialist to interpret a PET scan - but it doesn't hurt to know what areas they are talking about - anyone can google that.

So never mind the interpretation for now - let the doc tell you - and remember that all sorts of things light up a PET scan - and how much an area lights up is also important.
